Hey, wealth?
Life seems tethered to your sway.
Even for basic joys and peace,
It’s through you, they say.
******
The more I have, the more I crave,
When scarce, worries do reside.
With more within grasp, ambition grows,
Seeking societal pride and wide.
******
Yet I paused, stepped back in time,
Shedding all that was just for show.
Within months, sans my luxury ride,
A regal life began to glow.
******
Dear wealth, it’s not you to blame,
It was my heart, lost and confined.
You were meant for essential needs,
Yet I was misled, to you I was blind.
