Lazing on a chair, in silent peace,
Beneath the vast shelter of a Banyan tree.
A cuckoo’s song fills the calm air,
A melody, tender and rare.
****
Whispers of wind, nature’s hug,
The bird’s joy, evident in her grace.
Time flowed, yet stood still somehow,
Captured in that singular, endless now.
****
Sorrows of past began to wane,
Invited her closer, free from pain.
She gleamed, echoing joy so fine,
Together, like two faces of a single line.
****
She shared tales, her joys and glee,
Night arrived, spanning a timeless spree.
I yearned to pen down the day’s song,
Yet, some feelings just don’t belong on paper long.
